Kiwanis International is a global organisation of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. In an atmosphere of fun and friendship, Kiwanians aim to make a difference.

Australia became the twenty-second country in the world to embrace Kiwanis and on 2nd October 1967, the Kiwanis Club of Melbourne was formed.

Membership in a Kiwanis club will give you the chance to meet people from all walks of life, including local business people and community leaders. It will also give you the opportunity to contribute to improving your community.

Please explore our website. You will find many items of interest. If you are interested in learning more about the rewards of membership, use any of the contact opportunities you will find on the pages that follow. Enjoy your tour and thank you for visiting.

With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of 60,000 innocent babies and 30,000 mothers each year. The effects of the disease are excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.

To eliminate MNT from the Earth by 2015, 129 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized. This requires vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands of skilled staff and more. It will take $110 million — and the dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the Kiwanis family.

At our site - you will be able to make a donation to 'The Eliminate Project' on behalf of your loved one. In return you will receive a personalised letter and certificate that can be then presented to the recipient that explains the wonderful donation made on their behalf.

For every $2 donated, a woman will receive a vaccination that will save or protect her and her unborn children from the devastating and deadly effects of Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus.

And don't forget - all donations are tax deductible.
